Mixed style Hatha yoga in English

Yoga is alive and well as a globalized practice for cultivating overall health and well-being. Its root are in an ancient science coming from the east which studies the mind and its relations with physical body, breath and emotions. The aim of this course is to provide the foundations for a daily practice that can be experienced in a safe and mindful way by the student on its own.

Age, genetics, lifestyle, physical and mental condition, personal intention and spiritual philosophy all come into play in doing yoga and some of these variables can change from day to day, inviting us to modify what we’re doing. Taking a holistic perspective on yoga it is of great importance since blending these elements together in a proper manner leads to a healthy and sustainable yoga practice where students increasingly come to a place of balance first in their yoga path and then in their larger lives.

This course aim to show students a yogic pathway and offer them guidance along this path. We will do it together with inspiration, knowledge, skill, patience, compassion and creativity, creating a safe space for self-exploration. Each session will start cutting out all the thoughts that have been assisting you during the day, gently coming into presence into our own body and releasing tensions with warming up exercises. Then the main part will focus on working on the asana, the postures, experiencing the effect they have on the physical body respecting the two main principles of the practice: comfort and stability. After that, we integrate the practice with a short relaxation and breath exercises. The course is open to people of any age and background with overall good health conditions. No previous experience in yoga is needed. Places are limited to 10 participants.

Carmine D’Agosto is an Italian born Yoga and Meditation instructor. After years of practice he completed his 200 hours teacher training in Himachal Pradesh in India, at the Shiva Darshan yoga school of Dharamsala in 2017. He has practiced and travelled extensively in Europe and India, having the chance to meet inspiring and remarkable characters along the path who shared their their deep knowledge on a wide range of holistic topics. His personal background comprehend a MA in Languages and modern cultures, a Reiki master certification and a formation in Buddhist Philosophy by the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives.
